Vom 3. Mai bis zum 30. Juli 2010 sind Kreative im Rahmen des Content Awards Vienna 2010 eingeladen, ihre innovativen Content-Ideen in der Medienlandschaft bzw. im Wirtschaftsgeschehen zu positionieren. Insbesondere Games & Apps, animierte Charaktere sowie animierte Kurzfilme werden gesucht.

Zugelassen sind Games unabhängig von der Zielgruppe und der verwendeten Technologie. Es können alle Arten von Games eingereicht werden (Produktionsjahr 2009, 2010).

Es gibt einen eigenen Sonderpreis für die beste mobile Applikation – unabhängig von der verwendeten Technologie (Produktionsjahr 2009, 2010). Eingereicht werden können innovative Applikationen mit spielerischem Charakter und Applikationen, die für weitere Dimensionen des kreativen und innovativen Schaffens genutzt werden können (beispielsweise Applikationen aus den Bereichen Musik, Navigation, Bildung, Lifestyle, Kultur etc.). Die Einreichungen in der Kategorie Games & Apps werden von einer ExpertInnen-Jury bewertet.

Insgesamt werden vom ZIT Zentrum für Innovation und Technologie 30.000 Euro an Preisgeldern vergeben. Zusätzlich gibt es attraktive Sach- und Sonderpreise, für die auf www.contentaward.at eigens eingereicht werden kann.

GOING FORWARD IN THE BACKWARD DIRECTION

With each new generation of video games, we see increases in technology, game mechanic complexity, and new styles of play. However, what happens if we take the toys of the past and turn them into game controllers? Or take the newest and most modern game controllers and start applying them to the relics of video game history. “Going Forward in the Backward Direction” is an effort to apply the fun of yesterday to the technology of today, and to take the control and environmental elements that makes video games interesting today and rewind them to see what new elements can be added to history. This talk will outline the projects already created and currently in development, including an overview of the technologies used and new game mechanics created. From self-reconfiguring miniature golf and kite pong to haptic Super Glove Ball and tetris that serves you alcohol, these projects strive to answer the question “how can we reuse fun?”.

Die SUBOTRON Pickerlbörse 2010 presented by LIBRO kehrt während der Fußball-WM in Südafrika in den Fürstenhof des MuseumsQuartier Wien zurück. Jeden Freitag von 04.06. bis 09.07. können Jung und Alt zwischen 16-20h ihre Panini-Pickerl tauschen und ihre Sammelalben komplettieren.
Ein friedlicher Fußball-Event für die ganze Familie!

Der große Publikumserfolg der 1. Subotron Pickerlbörse anlässlich der Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 2006 hat das MuseumsQuartier auch jenseits der schönen Künste als Anlaufstelle und Treffpunkt für SammlerInnen der legendären Panini-Pickerln etabliert. Mehr als 8000 Menschen tauschten ihre Fußball-Pickerln im MQ.
